Delete Your Account
You can delete your BetterUs account at any time directly from within the app. This page explains how and what happens to your data.
🗑️ How to delete your account
- Open the BetterUs app on your device.
- Tap the Settings tab (bottom navigation bar, far right).
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen.
- Tap "Delete Account" — it appears in small text at the very bottom.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears. Your account will be permanently deleted immediately.
This action is permanent. Once confirmed, your account and all associated data cannot be recovered.

👥 What happens to your partner
Deleting your account unlinks you from your partner's account. Your partner's account remains active and they will be notified. Shared journal entries visible to both partners are removed from your side but your partner retains their own entries.
