A relationship app · not a therapy workbook

The couple app that pays attention.

A daily whisper written for the two of you. One shared spark. A journal that only opens when you both answer. A Sunday talk built into the app. Ten minutes a day — one subscription covers both of you.

The daily loop

Ten minutes a day. Both of you show up.

The whole product is a rhythm. One warm nudge in the morning. One small shared thing in the afternoon. A journal that opens together in the evening. The app pays attention across all of it and quietly stitches the day into a story you're writing together.

Sunrise

Whisper

A short personal nudge, written for the two of you specifically — not a horoscope. Rotates through seven modes so it never feels like the same tune.

Midday

Shared spark

One small thing you both do together. Same spark on both phones. Written to be doable in five minutes — sometimes silly, sometimes real.

Evening

Journal reveal

A question you both answer separately. Neither of you sees the other's answer until you've both submitted. Then an AI reflection lands on what surfaced.

Weekly

Sunday talk

State of the Union — four small prompts that hand you a conversation to actually have. Both of you write; both of you see each other's words.

The voice you'll actually hear

A warm friend who also knows relationship science. Not a therapist. Not a workbook. Not the kind of app that tells you your "attachment style" or ranks your love language.

The AI opens a door. The two of you furnish the room.

What's inside

The things the app actually does.

Every feature was earned — some are here because we shipped them; some are here because we killed the version that didn't work first. This is what's live today.

Journal reveal

A question you answer alone, together.

Both partners see the same question. Neither answer visible until both are in. When they reveal, one small reflection notices what's surprising in the pair.

"One of you remembers the feeling, the other remembers the soundtrack — but both are the same night."
Daily whisper

A morning nudge, written for the two of you.

Seven modes — appreciate, notice, reframe, turn toward, repair, ask, steady — rotated so it never gets flat. Never a horoscope, never a platitude.

"Say one thing out loud today that Natalie does that you'd miss if it stopped."
Sunday State of the Union

The weekly talk, built into the app.

Four small prompts: one appreciation, one rhythm worth keeping, one thing to gently bring up, one small ask for next week. Both of you write; both of you see. Sunday, twenty minutes, done.

The only place in the app where your partner sees your raw words. That's the point.
Sparks

One shared thing a day. Five categories.

Intimacy, Stability, Adventure, Growth, Social. Sparks are small — five minutes, one gesture, one moment. Written for both of you at once, so nobody's "in charge."

"Trade voice memos describing the last time you laughed hard together."
Repair mode

The one-tap "we're off" button.

When the day goes sideways, either of you can start a repair. You get a gentle spark that meets you where the friction actually is — not a lecture.

Followed by a short 24-hour aftermath check-in — three taps, tell us if it landed.
Mood + reactions

The small hand across the room.

Log how you're feeling with a tap. Your partner sees a soft orb, not a diagnosis. Send a kiss, hug, wink, or heart back — one small hand to reach through the app.

Works whether you're in the same room or three time zones apart.

A friend who knows the science, not a therapist quoting it.

Talk it through when something's hard. The coach mirrors what you said, names what you're actually stuck on, and suggests one concrete move — not five bullet points about attachment theory.

Also knows when to just ask a good question and shut up.
Weekly pulse + report

Five sliders on Sunday. The rest of the week reads itself.

Once a week each partner rates five dimensions of the relationship. The report harvests the week — a bond ring, a pulse trend, and a few small tiles that surface what actually happened.

Not a scoreboard. A mirror.
Memories + On This Day

The photos and answers you're already writing become the story.

Save the moments that matter. On the anniversary of anything — a shared journal answer, a repair, a spark you finished — the app quietly resurfaces it. No pressure, no reminders, just the story you were already writing.

Your app remembers so you don't have to.
Getting started

Three steps. No homework.

Create your profile

Answer a few short questions — names, anniversary, living arrangement, love language, how you usually respond under stress. Enough for the app to write something that lands, not a therapy intake.

Pair with your partner

One tap in the app sends a link. They open it, sign in, and you're paired. One subscription covers both of you.

Ten minutes a day

Open the app whenever you have a minute. Everything's waiting. Skip a day, no penalty. Skip a week, no penalty either. Come back when you're ready.

One subscription. Both of you.

Priced for the two of you, not per seat.

You share the app the way you share your life — one plan, one price. Either partner can subscribe; both partners get everything.

Questions we get

The short answers.

Does my partner have to sign up separately?
Yes — both partners install the app and each create an account. But only ONE of you subscribes. Once paired, the other partner gets everything included at no extra cost. One relationship, one price.
What if my partner isn't as "into it" as I am?
You can use most of the app solo — log moods, do sparks, journal — and your reflections quietly build over time. When your partner is ready, they open the app and the shared surfaces (journal reveal, Sunday talk) light up. The design assumes uneven engagement; the app doesn't punish either of you for it.
Is this a couples therapy app?
No. BetterUs is not a substitute for therapy and doesn't diagnose anything. It's a daily relationship habit — a warm friend that helps you notice each other. If you're in crisis, please see a licensed therapist.
What if we live in different time zones or don't see each other every day?
The app was designed for both cases. Same-space couples, nearby couples, and long-distance couples each get slightly different copy and prompts based on your living arrangement. Nothing assumes you're in the same room.
How is our data used?
Your journal answers, moods, and messages are private to your couple. We use aggregate, anonymized signals to make the AI better — never anything identifiable. Full details in our privacy policy.
Can I cancel or delete my account?
Yes to both. Cancel your subscription anytime from your account settings. If you want to permanently delete your account and data, use our delete account page — it's a one-step confirmation, no email chain.
